I sense a lot of these farmers whining after the weekend, about how the prices for gold items dropped, and how ANet ruined the economy.
Supply and demand FTW.

Woooo, more high end crap that I won't be able to sell and will further clog up my inventory! YAY!
Don't get me wrong, I love chest running, but so many people are doing it now, the market for EVERYTHING is completely saturated.
I've been trying to sell various perfect mods for DAYS now without any joy, even at silly prices. And there's no way in hell that I'm going to sell perfect mods for less than the cost of the key to get them in the first place :|
Here's an idea: how about some extra quests in existing areas rather than upping drop percentages for a weekend?

Well Nexus undersell them or give the items away. I like this weekend I was gonna buy keys yesterday, but I'll wait and splurge when this event starts.

well, I do it for two reasons:
Treasure Hunter and Wisdom Title, and gearing up my heroes for the new charactes I'm making.
My main characters' heroes are fully geared, but not all of my charactes (especially the newer ones) have heroes with full gears. Getting good mods from chests helps a lot in gearing them up.
And once in a while, you get a nice skin weapon that you can sell for decent amount. Those are not my goal, they simply add wealth and pay up for the keys.

Merchants are not traders. They do not run out of items.
Traders on other hand, have inventory supported by the community, and can run out of items, and prices are related to demand/supply.

This sounds like a decent even since chests are actually reachable in Elona.

I also got 4 or 5 of those, when I first arrived in Kourna. Horrible looking things and only a couple were max damage.
Really wish I didn't blow 30K on vabbi keys last week (and get very little of use for it).
I'll probably spend my remaining 20K this weekend, then spend whatever the merch gives me for all the junk I get, on more keys and be flat broke by Monday!
If only I had some self control...

Guess I'll have to move my warrior to Vabbi soon. Dang events always spring up when I'm not ready for them.
